Dwyane Wade, Gabrielle Union, Infidelity and Why It Is Irrelevant

Well, this is awkward.

To think, right after I seen the Dwyane Wade’s Christmas card with him, Gabrielle Union, and the kids do we come to hear that he supposedly has an outside child on the way. We ALL know that the fecal matter exploded while the fan was going. There was nothing but mess to be had on Twitter. People were having a good ole time with the commentary.

Is the situation even real? Yes. No. Maybe. I do know one thing: you all should be glad that I didn’t write any headlines about it. If I did, then it would have looked something like this:

Come to find out that Gabrielle Union actually knew about it before Wade even proposed. Seemingly, all of this occurred when they were “on the outs”. So, all of this hoopla is practically for naught.

There are a few takeaways from this situation:

1.) At some point, we as people need to mind our own damn business: I’m not saying that we all are nosey. Okay, I’m lying. Too many of us are nosey as fuck and even more judgmental about someone else’s life. Too busy worried about what others have going on and not focused enough on our own lives? Or maybe some of us don’t have lives to begin with. You pick.

2.) I hope the letter isn’t real: that letter being shuffled online? Yeah, I hope it is fake. If it is real, then it just shows that some side chicks need to understand their place in the world. Y-O-U are not the queen bee. You are the side chick. If this was a meal, you would be the fries or even some steamed broccoli. Yes, you can be served by yourself. However, most won’t consider you a full meal. It is what it is.

3.) Relationships are not “one size fits all”: People try to act like they are. Yet, you never see any relationship just like another. Sometimes, indiscretions cause people to break up. Other times, they make the bond stronger. At the end of the day, a person’s relationship is their own relationship to deal with. Too many times we want to make broad statements about “Real men do this…” or “If he cheats, he doesn’t love you…”. All those statements are great for memes and ego boosts. But real relationships are hard work on monuments of imperfection. And those monuments are always observed by outsiders. Yet, they aren’t the artists or architects.

And no, I don’t care. I’m only talking about it because I like observing human interaction and taking contrarian approaches to life.

Thus, we should always understand the bigger picture of a situation. Relationships are not cut-and-paste. What doesn’t work in your world may work out for other people. The best way to approach these situations is by minding your own business and tending to your own affairs. You may not understand how/why people do the things they do. Then again, it isn’t your business to understand anyway.
